This weekends activities were defined by visits with friends. Not UK friends, but ones from Hong Kong.

First, on Sunday afternoon we met up with our neighbours from Wong Keng Tei who, quite by chance, had planned to spend part of their summer holiday in Wiltshire. We were only half an hour away so we met up for a BBQ. Blenda, Captain Cathay, with kids and rellies were on good form and we had a very pleasant afternoon in the sunshine. A little different from sailing to Pak Ah for seafood and hangovers at Millionaires Beach - but wonderful to see them. We are only just discovering the sights in our new adopted county, but there is much to do and I think - weather permitting - they will have a great week.

On the way home my mobile rang. Mr and Mrs Relax were in the area and wanted to pop in. Splendid idea; we hadn't had a glass of wine for nearly an hour, so it gave me an excuse to open a new Chablis. Mrs Relax, recumbent in post operative recuperation in the rear of the Mercedes clambered out looking remarkably healthy for one who has had a large op - best wishes for a speedy recovery there. Mr Relax was pretty chilled considering his punishing agenda for this whirlwind guilt trip. He'd only been here three days and already done 1,000 miles..... He'll be back to work for a rest next week.

Once our Hong Kong shipment arrives we'll finally be able to accomodate guests on a more comfortable basis - we look forward to seeing many of you - and you don't have to come all the way from Hong Kong.

(just in case your cantonese is a little rusty, the title of this post is Hong Kong friends)
