There's a lot of fuss in the papers this week about extremist Muslim clerics and whether or not they should be deported or have operations on the NHS. Well to me they are either entitled or not, their religious views are not really the issue. If they break the law in other ways, whether inciting violence or not paying the congestion charge, then they can be dealt with like the rest of us poor saps.
No, what's got up my nose is how easy it is for people to live here at my expense. OK, I've only been a taxpayer for about 8 weeks but it's already winding me up. For example:
Mr X receives £331 a month in incapacity benefit and £183 a month in disability living allowance, as well as housing benefit and council tax benefit.
He has seven children and can claim a benefits package of £1,300 a month and drives a £30,000 people carrier paid for under a scheme called Motability. If we assume that is financed over 3 years then it's worth about £900 a month.
So, Mr & Mrs X have a net of tax income of about £32,500 per year, excluding housing and council tax benefits. Not to mention the free dental and medical care...or schooling.
When is it going to dawn on the people who actually work in this country that this is unsustainable? And when are they going to vote for an alternative? Of course this begs the question of whether there will be an alternative....
The parasite class have a vested interesting in supporting the current administration and, once they outnumber the working class (ie. everyone else) we are stuffed.
What a shambles.
