In Moscow on business - sorry, just couldn't resist the title.

Struck by the fabulous architecture and how the Russians have taken to capitalism with a certain vigour as well as how well they manage to light their buildings - showing them off to great effect.

We passed by the Kremlin, Red Square, that church thing that you see in lot's of the postcards and, finallly, Gorky Park. Having read Martin Cruz Smiths book and seen the movie (count the stars: Lee Marvin, Brian Dennehy, William Hurt, Ian Bannen, Michael Elphick, Alexei Sayle and more) it was great to be see it in the snow.

Yes, it was snowing. Not a lot, as it was a balmy 0 to 3 deg C most of the time we were there which, so they tell me, is warm for this time of year.

Fine, I'll be back in the summer. Looking forward very much to exploring a little more.
